The film starts with Vasudev Shastri, the genius RAW (Research and Analysis Wing) agent, and existence branded incompetent because he had failed in a critical mission and got himself too injured to work again. And later, when he sits by a park depressed, Nandini, the love of his life, consoles him. The film then goes into the flashback where Vasudev Shastri (Utkarsh Sharma) is a topper yet charming man who comes to IIT, the second ranker, Nandini Chauhan (Ishitha Chauhan), out of jealousy, decides to make his life hell.

And she constantly detests him, but Vasu (Vasudev Shastri) outsmarts her every time. Besides being the friendly “genius” about campus, he secretly works part-time with RAW, where his hacking talents occupy. And the day before the final exam in IIT, Nandini reluctantly visits Vasu to get help regarding the theorem. There, Vasu admits to Nandini that he remain long in love with her. Hearing this, Nandini immediately hatches the cunning plan and gives Vasu sleeping pills so that he cannot attend the exam the next day.

Synopsis

Though, Vasu outsmarts her this time as well and spreads the exam hall before her. Vasu did not seem angry with her and instead helped her with an unexpected glitch and walks away smiling after completing his paper. Nandini knows that Vasu had intentionally submitted a blank paper to let her top on the day of the results. Sighted by his dedication towards love, Nandini madly falls in love with him but did not reveal it and flies off to the U.S. for her dream job. On the other hand, Elder RAW members, impressed the Vasu’s intelligence, try to persuade him to join RAW. Afterward learning that his parents were kills in communal riots deliberate by ISI of Pakistan, Vasu finally decides to join RAW to take revenge against ISI.

And, the film revenues to the present, where Vasu, labeled inept by RAW, uses a walking stick and suffers from acute tinnitus and several injuries since his failed mission. Her mother is agreeably surprised to see Nandini (who had never valued personal relations before her career) make enormous sacrifices for Vasu’s welfare. And Vasu and Nandini spend some romantic moments, but their happiness is short-lived as Vasu starts hallucinating about his failed mission. Finally, a complicated Nandini tries to take Vasu to the USA for treatment. But, Vasu refuses and narrates the sad story of his failed mission to Nandini.
